Things to do in Johnson City

Binghamton University
This is one of four university centers within the State University of New York - and, as The Princeton Review's "The Best 331 Colleges" points out in its 2002 edition, our students like to call us "the Ivy of the SUNYs." Overall, more than 12,000 students are enrolled in programs leading to bachelors, masters and doctoral degrees. Our curriculum, founded in the liberal arts, has expanded to include selected professional and graduate programs. The University consists of Harpur College of Arts and Sciences, the School of Education and Human Development, the School of Management, the Decker School of Nursing, and the Thomas J. Watson School of Engineering and Applied Science. The Graduate School administers advanced-degree programs in these schools, but both our undergraduate and graduate students are taught by the same outstanding faculty. Nineteen specialized research centers attract scholars from around the globe to Binghamton's modern campus. Located just 2 ½ miles from Binghamton. Call 607-777-2000 for more information.

Ross Park Zoo
One of the Nation's oldest existing zoos, Ross Park is home to white tigers, red wolves, snow leopards, and penguins. Call 607-724-5461 for more information.
